Monica has been involved in the insurance industry since 2001. She began her career with the Dawson and Keenan team in personal insurance in 2002. Monica has earned several designations including; CAIB (Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker), CPIB (Canadian Professional Insurance Broker), CIP (Chartered Insurance Professional) and AIPC (Associate in Insurance Production Canada). In 2012, Monica was promoted to the commercial department where she currently specializes.  She received the Award of Excellence from the Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO) in 2008 and was most recently honoured with the International ATHENA Award for 2017.

Monica enjoys and regularly participates in various organizations in the insurance industry and community.  She currently serves as a Director on the Board of the Community Development Corporation of Sault Ste. Marie & Area (CDC) and as a Director on the Board of the Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO) after serving as President on the Young Brokers Council (YBC) and the local Affiliate, the Sault Insurance Brokers Association (SIBA) as President for two terms where she remains as a Director. Monica has served as President of the Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce (SSMCOC), liaison for the Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce’s Strive Young Professionals Group, committee member and Ambassador for The Insurance Institute and a Director on the Ontario Students Against Impaired Driving Board (OSAID).
